Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman who shot to fame with the role of Wolverine in the X-Men series has said that he would not out rightly turn down the offer of working in a bollywood movie. The Actor who is just as much about theatrical musicals as his is about mutants with adamantium claws said the flashy, glittery and glamorous world of bollywood excites him.
Hugh Jackman in recent times spoke with the Hindustan Times and revealed to the tabloid about his trip to India early in the year. He also revealed that he had the privilege of meeting bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai Bachan and praised her for being for down to earth and kind hearted. When the tabloid asked him if he would do a bollywood movie he replied” Definitely! I am looking forward to working in Bollywood films … There are many actors including me who are willing to work in Hindi cinema … Bollywood is huge, and extremely popular over here.”
It’s hard to guess if Jackman was just being nice, but the idea of him featuring in a masala bollywood flick is indeed mouthwatering. The success of Slumdog Millionaire – which grossed over $141 million at the domestic box office – proved that there is at least some American interest in Bollywood-type filmmaking and this movie could very well turn out to be an excellent opportunity for Hugh Jackman. But with upcoming projects like The Wolverine, The Greatest Showman on Earth and the aforementioned Les Miserables how will Hugh take time out to travel all the way to India and feature in a full fledge bollywood flick.
