London police investigate an attempted sexual assault at Sear’s Outlet store

London Police are requesting the public assistance in providing any information on a sexual assault occurrence and the suspect believed to be responsible.

On Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 1:45 p.m. a male shopping in the Sear’s Outlet Store, at 530 Oxford Street West, approached a female sales associate requesting assistance. When the sales associate attempted to help this male she was sexual assaulted. The male then walked around the store for a brief time, and left through the north exit onto the parking lot area.

The male suspect that committed the sexual assault is described as follows; male, white with a darker complexion, 6’1″, 250 -260 lbs, approximately 40-years-old. He has green eyes, bald or shaved, on the top of the head that has very short brown or grey hair at the back and sides of the head. He had a full shorter beard that is dark brown, wearing a light grey cotton t-shirt with logo on the left side of the chest area. He also wore blue jeans, black Nike running shoes and he had five earring piercings, in both ears with a green ball earring in the right ear and a silver spike earring at the top of his left ear.

There were no injuries as a result of the sexual assault.

Update: On Tuesday October 18, 2011, the London Police Service arrested and has now charged 35-year-old Shawn Riddick, of London, with one count of sexual assault in relation to the occurrence at the Sear’s Outlet Store located at 530 Oxford Street West.
