Investigators working out of the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit have charged a 39-yearold Vaughan man after a social media site uncovered a profile with explicit photographs of young children.

In June 2011, officers received information about child pornography being posted on a social media site. The suspect was using several identities, including those under the names of Molly Nason, Melissa Parker, Wendy Amy Smith, Con Demetrius or the pseudonym Princess Dancer, most often representing himself as a young female. An e-crimes investigator from the social media site assisted York Regional Police in the investigation and on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in Vaughan where the suspect was arrested without incident. Inside the residence, officers seized a quantity of computers and electronic devices.

Investigators are encouraging anyone who has been contacted by the suspect through one of the above aliases or user names to come forward.
