Mounties release name of the N.B. man found deceased at Cocagne Bay

The District 4 RCMP have released the name of a 53-year-old man whose body was found along the shore of the Cocagne Bay, on November 1, 2011. He has been identified as Fernand Bourque, of Cocagne, N.B.
It’s believed that Mr. Bourque was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Route 530 shortly before 6:30 p.m. on October 29. A witness reported seeing the driver and sole occupant of the car walk away from the scene. There was no indication the man was seriously injured.
The RCMP Police Dog Service attended, but was not able to locate the driver. Mr. Bourque was reported missing on October 31, when he did not report for work. A ground and aerial search were conducted on November 1, resulting in the discovery of Mr. Bourque’s body.
Autopsy results show he died as a result of hypothermia from exposure. Police do not consider the death suspicious.
