Moncton man Roger Joseph Williams pleads guilty to child pornography

On November 28, 2011, 51-year-old Roger Joseph Williams appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual interference, as well as two counts of production, one count of distribution, and one count of possession of child pornography.

Williams was arrested on October 13, 2011, as part of an investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse images. 

He was initially charged with one count of possession, three counts of distribution and two counts of production of child pornography, as well as one count of sexual interference. 

In court today, additional charges were laid, including one count of sexual interference, one count of production of child pornography and one count of sexual assault, which was later withdrawn.

Roger Williams has been released on strict conditions and is scheduled to return to court on January 26, 2012 for sentencing.
