Two Toronto men charged in connection with a murder

On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 1:12 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision in the Unwin Avenue/Leslie Street area.

Police located a woman suffering from trauma to the body on Unwin Avenue.

She was taken to hospital and later died.

A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the body.

The victim was identified as Leanne Freeman, 23.

On Thursday, December 15, 2011, police arrested and charged Jonathan Ash, 23, of Toronto, with:

1) Accessory after fact to murder.

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Friday, December 16, 2011, room 501.

On Friday, December 16, 2011, police arrested and charged Robert Beauregard, 31, also known as Joseph Beauregard, of Toronto, with:

1) First Degree Murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, December 17, 2011, room 101, at 10 a.m.
