RCMP officer, Shawn Kropielniski, whose blog was forcefully taken off by the authorities after he called aspiring models “second-class, working whores” and “skanks” is been docked 10 days pay after acknowledging to have beaten up two prisoners in the lockup.
An RCMP disciplinary board has given a verdict against RCMP Const. Kropielniski.
Before his blog was taken off, Kropielniski wrote about testifying in court against an accused.
He wrote: “After sitting through four hours of bulls—, poor fashion taste, and annoying people, it was showtime.”
One of his blog entries was titled “Why being a police officer sucks.”
Kropielniski confessed his outrageous behavior for excessive force at a disciplinary hearing held in Ottawa earlier this year. The RCMP disciplinary board concluded that Kropielniski insulted a prisoner by using excessive force.
Earlier in September, the RCMP internal-affairs board said: “Constable Kropielniski has agreed to abide by a code of conduct and he must keep this obligation in mind at all times. The nature of his profession demands that, as peace officers, members must hold themselves to a much higher standard of conduct than what is expected from a member of the general public.
“Members must live by a much stricter code of self-discipline and this is even more important when engaged in the very duties for which they are trained.”
