Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3505 Hillcroft about 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 17).
The male victim, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verificiation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Stewart and Officer C. Sartor reported:
The driver of a blue Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound in the 3500 block of Hillcroft when the victim, a pedestrian, stepped off a grassy median and into the westbound lanes of traffic. The victim was struck by the Corolla and died at the scene.
No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
