On Friday, February 10, 2012, at 8:32 a.m., the Toronto Fugitive Squad and the Canada Border Services Agency arrested a wanted man.

Rustem Turnsunbayev, 49, was wanted on an Immigration Warrant. He is wanted in Kazakhstan for allegations of Expropriation of Embezzlement of Trusted Property, in excess of 3 billion Kazakhstan dollars.

It is alleged that:

– he entered Canada in July 2009 as a permanent resident and that he has been living in the GTA since entering Canada
