London Police are investigating this year’s fifth and sixth traffic fatalities as a result of a collision which took place last night Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Oxford Street just east of Woodhull Road in the city’s west end.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of an eastbound vehicle crossed over into the westbound lane and collided nearly head on with a westbound vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The drivers, a 49-year-old woman in the westbound vehicle and a 47-year-old male in the eastbound vehicle were the lone occupants of their respective vehicles.
