A recent poll points toward the significant lead of Wildrose Party over the Progressive Conservatives days before the final Alberta election. The poll further indicates that Wildrose has a strong support in the country and is giving a tough fight to the Progressive Conservatives in Calgary.

“It seems Albertans are increasingly lining up on one of two sides in this election: the Wildrose Party or the PC party,” said Bruce Cameron, Return on Insight president. He also said that most likely Wildrose majority government will be formed in Alberta.

Danielle Smith of Wildrose seems determined to increase her party’s 17 points lead over the PCs, as stated by polls.

She said: “We have been working for the last three weeks to earn the trust of Albertans. We’re going to continue doing that. We’ve been delighted that so many people are responding to our message. I think it’s because we’ve put forward a positive campaign, talking about the issues that matter to Albertans.”

On the other hand, Premier Alison Redford urged the voters to support her party if they want the province to grow and develop.

“Progressive Conservative governments are committed to public health care, we are committed to education and we are committed to infrastructure and investing in communities,” said Redford. “And, it is important for us, particularly in Calgary, which is such a fast-growing city, to understand that we need to invest in that growth, we can’t pull back on that.”
