Marcus AlexisInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a party wanted in relation to the region’s sixth murder of 2011.

This murder occurred on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at approximately 2:50 p.m., when the victim, 28 year-old Kearn Nedd, was shot and killed trying to assist in apprehending one of two suspects committing an armed robbery at a poker tournament. The event, held at the Rozz Banquet Hall located at 200 Advance Boulevard in Brampton was suddenly and tragically interrupted by this brazen act, which occurred in broad daylight in front of over 130 people.

Since that time, investigators have worked persistently to track down those responsible for this murder.

Homicide investigators have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of  Marcus Alexis, a 19 year-old Mississauga resident for Second Degree Murder in Mr Nedd’s death.

Marcus Alexis  is  also known by his street name “Mags”, and he is described as male black, 5’10” tall, 180 lbs., has short black afro hair, and was last seen wearing a white jacket and red shoes.

Investigators consider Marcus Alexis to be armed and dangerous and warn anyone who may see this male not to approach, but rather contact their local Police Service.
