A suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 10777 Beechnut about 9:35 p.m. on May 4 has been arrested.

The suspect, Jordan Q. Wilson (b/m, DOB: 4-13-93), was arrested on Tuesday (May 15) in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Wilson is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Toyurean Young, 20, of Houston, who was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

A prior photo of suspect Wilson is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Countryman and Officer R. Olive reported:

Wilson approached Mr. Young, whom he had threatened in the past, in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant at the above location and both men began fighting.  At some point during the fight, Wilson retrieved a gun from his shorts’ pocket and shot Young.  Wilson then fled the scene on foot.  Young was taken by paramedics to the hospital.

An investigation by the U. S. Marshals developed information that led to Wilson’s whereabouts.  Wilson was arrested following a traffic stop in Corpus Christi and he is currently in the Nueces County jail awaiting return to Houston.
