Toronto man Omar Mcfarlane jailed for human trafficking

Omar MCFARLANE, a 31 year old male from Toronto, was sentenced in May of 2012 in the Ontario Court of Justice – Brampton for Human Trafficking, Kidnapping with a Firearm x 2 and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

MCFARLANE met his victims while they were working as exotic entertainers in local adult entertainment parlours.  He would befriend each woman before entering into a romantic relationship.  The women would eventually be kidnapped at gun point for the purposes of being trafficked into the sex trade.  Investigators with Peel Regional Police’s Vice Unit began an investigation into McFarlane’s activities and, in December, 2009, arrested him for the offences listed above.
