Durham police search for missing boy James Laing

Durham Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 19-year-old male who has been missing from an Oshawa address since Thursday.

James Laing, age 19, went missing from an Oshawa shelter on Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:30 p.m. and has not been seen or heard from since. He has a number of health issues and is developmentally delayed, functioning at the level of a 10-12 year old.

He is described as male white, with a slim build, about 5’2″ tall, about 120 lbs, with short brown hair, brown eyes and unshaven. He was last seen wearing plain blue track pants, a plain blue t-shirt, dark blue and black Nike runners.

Update: The missing 19-year-old has been located safe and sound.
