Car deriver dies in a fatal crash near East River, Nova Scotia

Lunenburg District RCMP are currently at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash near East River, Nova Scotia.

At approximately 2:21 p.m. this afternoon, RCMP responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle crash on Highway 329. A vehicle was found on its side in the ditch and on fire.  RCMP and Blandford Fire Department remain on scene and are currently investigating the collision that resulted in the death of the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. 

Highway 329 remains open at this time. Additional information will be provided when available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
