Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and offered his condolences for the death of 32 Kenyans in the tragic crash of ET 302. President Kenyatta offered his condolences to the families and friends of the Canadian victims. Prime Minister Trudeau confirmed that Canada is prepared to offer assistance for the ongoing investigation, and the two leaders agreed to share information going forward.

The two leaders also discussed the upcoming Women Deliver conference to be hosted in Vancouver, Canada in 2019 as an opportunity to advance their shared priority of gender equality. The Prime Minister and the President reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
