Bolton man Dennis McDermott charged with sexual exploitation

Members working out of the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 61-year-old Bolton man in connection with a sexual exploitation incident that occurred in early July.

On Tuesday, July 17, 2012, police launched an investigation after receiving information about an incident of sexual exploitation against a 17-year-old female at a public location in the Township of King. Following subsequent investigation, the suspect was arrested and charged without incident.

CHARGED:

– Dennis McDermott, 61, of Bolton

CHARGE:

– Sexual Exploitation

Mr. McDermott has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.

The suspect is employed as a teacher with the Peel District School Board. Investigators are concerned there may be additional victims
