A 42-year-old man from Memramcook, N.B., has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in the community earlier this year.

Alan LeBlanc appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on August 30 and has been charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm towards another person and unsafe storage of a firearm.

On February 27, just before 9:30 p.m., the RCMP responded to a 911 call about shots being fired at a home on Chemin Principal in Memramcook. No one was injured, although the homeowners were inside at the time.

Alan LeBlanc is already in custody in connection with other charges. He is scheduled to appear in court again on September 18, 2012, to enter a plea.
