Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2300 block of Barker Cypress Road about 1:25 a.m. today (Sept. 5).
The identity of the female victim, who died at the scene, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer J. Perrotte reported:
The victim was driving a black Mitsubishi Montero at a high rate of speed northbound on Barker Cypress and failed to stay in her lane. The Montero then struck a curb, went off the roadway and struck several trees. The victim was ejected and died at the scene.
