On Friday, September 21, 2012, at approximately 10:21 p.m., 48-year-old James Green was a pedestrian crossing the roadway on Hamilton Road at Egerton Street, when he was struck by an eastbound pick-up truck. The 23-year-old driver of the truck was not injured. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of his injuries, Mr. Green passed away in the Critical Care Trauma Centre on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:15 p.m.
There have been no charges laid at this point as police continue to investigate this collision.
