Suspicious Man Murdered at East Vancouver Home

A 21-year-old victim was shot dead by gunfire in East Vancouver on last Halloween night. The police reported the event to have taken place sometime around 10:30 p.m., when few minutes’ later Vancouver police responded to a 911 call informing that a man has been shot at a house in the 3200 block of East 6th Avenue.

According to the police, they found the Vancouver man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound upon their arrival and quickly called for paramedics. Police spokesman Sgt. Randy stated that unfortunately the victim passed away before the paramedics could reach him. Police declared him dead at the scene. The police are hiding the identity of the victim and not sharing any names, although Fincham did assure that the police have affirmatively recognized the body. Fincham stated that “the victim is known to police and early indications are that this was a targeted attack.” There is no indication, as yet, showing that the incident had anything to do with gangs fights or drugs business.

Furthermore, Fincham told the media that early indications are showing the scene of a targeted attack. But there is no suspect identified until now, and Fincham claims that the investigation is still ongoing so he cannot share detailed information. He declared that “No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.” Homicide investigators are expected to be on the scene on Thursday morning. The Vancouver Police Homicide Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit are investigating. The shooting marks Vancouver’s 8th Homicide of 2012.
