The Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, has expressed strong and deep disappointment of the fact that two of the TTC buses abandoned their passengers amidst rush hour last week just for picking up the high school football team he coaches.

Speaking directly for the first time of the incident that took place on Thursday, Ford claimed in front of all the reporters that “I did absolutely nothing wrong.” He assured that “I don’t know how much more clearer I can be.” He asserted that the local police made the call to TTC about the buses, not him. He even asserted that “I’m a customer service guy and it drives me nuts” to learn that innocent travelers were abandoned of their rights. Ford claimed that “I’m as clean as the days are long.” Ford’s comments have just arrived as people ask for further investigation into the event and ask for a policy to stop it from happening again.

Coun. John Parker, who is a member of TTC commission, spoke to the reporters on Monday saying that “Well at first I thought somebody was putting me on.” Parker stated that he truly believes that there has to be a mistake. He said that “I have to believe that there is miscommunication, misunderstanding or somehow something didn’t go the way it should have gone. I can’t believe that it would be policy to drop passengers at rush hour to pick up football players.”

Being a TTC commissioner, he added that he’s “interested in knowing who said what to whom, what are the rules around this sort of thing and were the rules followed. And how did we find ourselves dropping passengers in the middle of rush hour.”

He dcomment_IDn’t have a word to say about this matter on his weekly 2-hour radio show where he talks about all the other stuff that bothers him like how the media are pathological liars out to get him and how other councillors are “stealing” from the hardworking taxpayers to fund their own pet projects.
