The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at approximately 3 a.m., a 37-year-old woman met a man in the Queen Street East/Lee Avenue area
– the man engaged the woman in conversation, invited her to his home and she agreed
– once at his home, the woman was forcibly confined and sexually and physically assaulted by the man
On Tuesday, January 1, 2013, Thomas Webber, 58, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with:
1. Sexual Assault
2. Forcible Confinement
3. Assault
4. Voyeurism
He appeared in court at College Park on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 10 a.m.
