Members of the TPS Fugitive Squad have arrested a man under the Extradition Act.
It is alleged that:
– from March 2009 to the fall of 2010, the accused made false tax claims defrauding the Government of the United States of approximately $15,000,000 USD
– the accused is wanted by the Internal Revenue Service in the United States on numerous counts of tax-fraud offences
On Friday, February 15, 2013, Franzie Colaco, 53, was arrested and is being held in custody awaiting extradition proceedings.
