On Sunday, March 10th 2013, Police attended an apartment on the third floor of 2 Cherry wood Dr. in Stoney Creek with regards to a possible homicide. Police found the victim, 36 year old Tania Cowell, deceased inside the apartment. Cowell had suffered multiple stab wounds. No one else but Cowell was inside the apartment. Cowell’s boyfriend, 35 year old Haiden Suarez Noa, was arrested in Guelph by the Guelph Police Service without incident. Suarez Noa was brought back toHamilton and charged with Second Degree Murder in Cowell’s death. Suarez will make a Court appearance this morning. Cowell and Suarez Noa had been involved in a common-law relationship and had one child together.
Police continue to investigate this tragedy.
