This past Saturday, March 9, was the first anniversary of the murder of Kevin Farren and the Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the case.

On March 9, 2012 at 2:26 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to 56 Havenbrook Hill in Portland Hills subdivision in relation to the death of a man. The victim was later identified as 61-year-old Kevin Farren of Waverley, who worked as an accountant for the owner of 56 Havenbrook Hill. The death was ruled a homicide.
