Nova Scotia fisherman Reid Risser dies after remaining unconcious under water

Lunenburg RCMP are releasing the name of the lobster fisherman found in the water yesterday morning.

On April 2nd, 2013, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Lunenburg County RCMP members received a 911 call about a lobster fisherman who fell overboard in Indian Point. Two men were heading out to go lobster fishing when one of the men left the area for a few minutes and returned to find his friend unconscious in the water. Emergency Health Services, Mahone Bay and Indian Point Fire departments responded to the incident and the man was transported to hospital where he passed away. 

The male has been identified as Reid Risser, 71, from Blockhouse, Nova Scotia. Police do not suspect foul play and the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
