Luis LimaInvestigators from the Special Victims Unit have arrested a man in relation to a historical sexual abuse investigation.

The alleged offences involve a male teen, which began when the teen was 11 years of age and span over a period of approximately 5 years, beginning around the fall of 2006.  The accused and victim were known to each other, as the accused was the victim’s next door neighbour.

On Wednesday, June 20, 2012, police charged Luis Lima, 60 years-old of Mississauga, with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Invitation to Sexual Touching.

Mr. Lima appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 23, 2012, to answer to the charges.

Further investigation has led police to believe that there may be additional victims. The sexual assaults took place at a townhouse complex at 725 Vermouth Avenue in Mississauga.
