From the sex trade and bonded labour, to slavery prevention, Partners International Canada works with local NGOs in many countries to stop the movement of people into slavery.

According to a recent United Nations report, the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation. The victims of sexual exploitation are predominantly women and girls. UNICEF estimates that nearly two million children are in the global sex trade which is the fastest growing illegal industry in the world.

According to Kevin McKay, Director of Development at Partners International Canada, “Canadians have long demonstrated their heart and compassion for restoring broken lives through our partners overseas. With the launch of our Facebook campaign people can harness this powerful medium to encourage others to Fight Human Trafficking in all its forms.”

By Liking and Sharing us on www.facebook.com/partnerscanada supporters can use this campaign to increase public awareness and lend their voices to rally Canadians to join the fight.
