Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7003 Bissonnet about 9 p.m. on Monday (April 29).
The victim, Lazaro Rivas-Opico, 22, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officers V. McLean, D. Fontenot and N. Rosenblatt reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the Oaks of Bissonnet Apartments at the above address. Officers arrived and found Mr. Rivas-Opico deceased from several gunshot wounds. According to witnesses, an unknown suspect was seen leaving the complex in a dark colored four-door sedan immediately after the shooting.
At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
