Medicine Hat… Motorists are advised that Highway 1 is now open between Medicine Hat and Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.

In Alberta, Highway 1 is open to all traffic between Medicine Hat and the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.

In Saskatchewan, Highway 1 will operate as a two-lane highway for about three km in the Maple Creek area. For westbound traffic, the two-lane section starts about two km west of the Highway 21 junction. For eastbound traffic, the two-lane section starts about 14 km east of the railway overpass on Highway 1. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and be cautious in the area.
