The Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the murder of Jaumar Carvery.

On May 3, 2008 at 12:08 a.m., two HRP beat officers patrolling on Gottingen Street heard gunshots from the area of Sunrise Walk and Olympic Court. The officers immediately responded to the area, where they found 21-year-old Jaumar Carvery lying on the walkway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Carvery was transported to hospital by EHS but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The investigation into Jaumar Carvery’s death remains active but unsolved at this time. Shortly after the incident, a search of the area by a police K-9 team turned up items investigators believe to be evidence, including a unique Fubu jacket.
