On Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at approximately 10:30 p.m., an 18 year old female was walking home from work. As she crossed the front lawn of Kennedy High School she was confronted by a man armed with a knife. Without warning, the male punched the victim in the face, knocking her to the ground. The man sexually assaulted the victim and then fled northbound toward Windsor Avenue. The victim was taken to hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two joggers in the area at the time of the assault may have witnessed the incident.
The suspect is described as: male, possibly First Nations or Hispanic, mid 20s, 5’11” tall, average build, collar length, shiny, jet-black, slicked back hair that was tucked behind the ears, thick dark eyebrows, slightly pock-marked, clean shaven face, wearing a black sleeveless t-shirt, and light coloured shorts.
