A man faces charges after a search yesterday by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.

Police received a complaint that a man was trying to lure a child for sexual purposes through the internet. On Thursday, May 23rd, Integrated ICE officers, with the assistance of investigators from the Provincial ICE Unit conducted a search of a residence on Nichols Avenue in Kentville.  A man was arrested without incident at the scene and officers seized computers and other computer-related items.

Andrew Christopher Barrett, 26-years-old, appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court yesterday and has been remanded until Monday. He has been charged criminally with Possession of Child Pornography and Luring a Child.
