Toronto man Hanad Mohamed charged with first degree murder

On Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 2:40 a.m., police responded to a shooting call on King Street West, near Portland Street.

Officers arrived and located two men on the sidewalk suffering from obvious injuries.

On Thursday, April 4, 2013, Nisar Hashimi, 23, of Toronto, attended 14 Division and surrendered to police. He is charged with:

1. First−Degree Murder
2. Attempted Murder While Using a Firearm

A Canada Wide Warrant was issued on Friday, May 17, 2013, for the arrest of Hanad Mohamed, 23, of Toronto, for First-Degree Murder.

On Friday, May 24, 2013, Hanad Mohamed was located and arrested in Fort McMurray, Alberta with the assistance of the RCMP.

The accused will be returned to Toronto and is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, May 31, 2013.
