On July 11, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service became involved in a drug investigation. Members of the Organized Crime Unit seized 4 Kilograms of Cocaine from a Semi Trailer just west of the City on Highway #1. Further investigation led to the seizure of an additional 47 Kilograms of Cocaine.

Total estimated street value of $2,550,000.00.

Gurdarshan Singh HANSRA, 47 years and Tirath Singh BAL 41 years of British Columbia have been charged with Trafficking in controlled drug or substance and Possessing substance for the purpose of trafficking.

They have been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.

The investigation is continuing.
