Red Toyota Corolla driver dies in a fatal traffic accident at 6300 Windswept Lane

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 6300 block of Windswept Lane about 8:40 p.m. last Saturday (July 6).  

The male victim, 24, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer J. Perrotte reported:  

The victim was driving a red Toyota Corolla eastbound on Windswept and failed to stay in a single lane.  The Toyota then jumped the curb, drove into a drainage ditch and rolled over.  Paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.  

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
