Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…On Saturday, July 17, 2010, the Festival Management Committee will host the annual Scotiabank Junior Carnival Yorkgate Parade. Organizers anticipate 1,600 participants, 12 bands and about 20 vehicles to take part in the event.

Road closures: Between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

– Shoreham Drive, from Murray Ross Parkway to Jane Street.

Road closures: Between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

– Jane Street, Finch Avenue West to Steeles Avenue West.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m.

Formation area:
– Shoreham Drive, east of Jane Street to Murray Ross Parkway, staging area,
– Westbound on Shoreham Drive, full roadway,
– Southbound on Jane Street, full roadway,
– Westbound and Southbound on York Gate Boulevard,
– Dispersal Area: York Gate Boulevard, south of Hullmar Drive.

Motorists are advised to consider parade routes prior to their travels.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
