Mounties investigate regarding the murder of Scott Ashley McMillan

On July 07, 2013, 55 year old Scott Ashley McMillan was found beaten in his residence in the 13800 block of 64th Avenue in Surrey.

He was located on the floor and unresponsive by one of his roommates who then asked a neighbour to call 911.

Surrey RCMP attended along with BC Ambulance Service and Mr. McMillan was rushed to the hospital where he remained on life support in critical condition.

On July 10, 2013 just before 4:00 pm Scott McMillan was pronounced deceased at the hospital and his family have been notified.

Currently IHIT is leading this investigation with the assistance of the Surrey RCMP.

IHIT is in the process of identifying persons of interest and conducting interviews in order to determine what lead up to this murder and who is responsible, says Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

An autopsy is scheduled for this week to confirm the cause of death.

Mr. McMillan had a criminal record dating back to 1985 to 2011.

No arrests have been made.
