Police was called to a scene where two men were found dead outside a stag party in Vaughan overnight. Officers who attended the incident outside Terrace Banquet Centre on Creditstone Rd. in Vaughan around 1 a.m. claim that it seems like a targeted incident. Police reported to have found one already dead upon their arrival in the parking lot, while the second man was quickly sifted to a nearby hospital but he failed to cure his injuries and passed away.

York Regional Police Const., Blair McQuillan, explained that “at this point it doesn’t appear to be a random event.” He revealed that “investigators do believe this was a targeted event.” Furthermore, McQuillan explained that both of victims are yet to be identified, while negating all speculations about that the victims being in their 40s. A bachelor party was underway in the hall at the time of incident, where as many as 500 guests were in attendance, out of which 100 are believed to be present at the time of shooting.

A York Region police station is visible from the scene, while mobile command centres were also set up on Friday morning. Later crews loaded a BMW SUV onto a truck that was driven away before 10 a.m. Friday morning as it was the only car left parked beside the large banquet hall on a commercial road. A woman who worked at the hall reached at around 9 a.m. but was turned away by officers. A post-mortem has yet to be scheduled.
