The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit have been conducting a joint investigation with the Catholic Children’s Aid Society involving children in a specific foster care home. This foster home no longer has children placed in the home.
The investigation stems from allegations occurring from 2003 through 2005, involving 2 young children. The investigation has resulted in the arrest of an 82 year old Hamilton man. He was never sanctioned to be a Foster Parent, and was not in the role of Foster Parent in this specific home and did not live in the home.
ARRESTED: Alfred Lang, 82 years of age of Hamilton
CHARGES: Invitation to Sexual Touching x2
Sexual Assault x2
He will have a Bail Hearing in the afternoon of Friday, July 12, 2013.
The Catholic Children’s Aid Society, in conjunction with the Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit, will continue their investigation, as it is believed there may be more victims.
