A warrant has beenexecuted and a male party wanted for numerous firearm related offences has been arrested and charged.
Deandre Davis was wanted as the result of a recently completed investigation where a .40 calibre Llama handgun was recovered. Officers from the Street Crime Gang Unit had been actively seeking the fugitive suspect.
Last evening, the Peel Regional Police Tactical Unit attended a residence in Brampton and Davis was arrested without incident.
Deandre Davis is now facing the following seven criminal code charges:
– Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
– Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
– Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
– Careless Use or Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition
– Possess firearm with altered serial number
– Breach of Probation Order
Davis will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 15, 2013.
