A pedestrian struck by a pick-up truck yesterday has now died of her injuries.
Shortly after noon on July 15th, a 67 year old Vancouver woman was attempting to cross Powell Street in her motorized scooter when she was involved in a collision with a pick-up truck driven by a 25 year old Surrey man making a left turn off of Victoria Drive.
The driver remained at the scene and the woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with a serious head injury. She died overnight in hospital.
Investigators with the VPD Collision Investigation Unit will continue to gather evidence, canvas for video and speak with witnesses in an attempt to determine the cause of the collision.
The name of the victim is not being released.
