Yarmouth RCMP are investigating a shooting that left a 47-year-old man dead.
At 1:20 a.m. this morning, Yarmouth County RCMP attended a residence on Corporon Rd in Wedgeport after receiving a report of a gunshot. Upon arrival a 46-year-old male victim was located at a nearby residence and was transported via ambulance to the Yarmouth County Hospital. He was later transported to Halifax with serious injuries. A 49-year-old female was also located uninjured
At approximately 5:00 a.m., a 47-year-old male was found deceased on the property. All individuals involved were known to each other, this was not a ramdom incident. The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes unit is in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
