Hamilton man John Bark charged with second degree murder

The Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit has charged a 33-year-oldHamilton man with second degree murder following an altercation between two residents at a Residential Care Facility.

On July 31st, 2013, Police and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to Emerald Lodge at 83 Emerald Street South, Hamilton, regarding an assault. A male victim identified as 44-year-old, Daniel DEMERINO, was found to be in a semi-conscious state and was transported to hospital. His condition deteriorated and on August 7th, 2013, he succumbed to his injuries and died. A fellow resident of Emerald Lodge has now been charged:
