Drunken RCMP officer charged with forcible entry in Winnipeg

On July 22, 2010, an RCMP member was involved in an off-duty incident at which time an investigation commenced involving members of the Winnipeg Police Service.

The investigation has since revealed that a 30 year old male, while in an intoxicated state, attended to a residence unknown to him in the River Heights area of Winnipeg. It was at this time the male gained entry and awoke the lone occupant.

Uniform members attended and arrested the male at the scene without incident.

He is facing a charge of Forcible Entry and has been released on an Appearance Notice.
