Two Oshawa men are charged with the sexual assault of a teenaged girl.
On Thursday, August 29, 2013, a 14-year-old girl reported several incidents of sexual assault over a period of time. The victim was in an intimate relationship with one of the men for approximately four months after meeting him on a dating website. During this time he had become increasingly violent. On August 29, 2013, he assaulted her when she tried to call her mother for a ride home from the accused’s residence. He would not let the victim leave until she convinced him she would date other men for money. The accused had also forced the victim to have sex with other men, including the co-accused.
Officers attended a residence on Wellington Avenue East in Oshawa this morning and arrested the two accused. The 32-year-old male resisted officers and, once placed in the cruiser, caused damage by kicking the window of the vehicle.
Brian Stephenson, age 32 of Wellington Avenue East in Oshawa, is charged with: Assault; Forcible Confinement; Threatening; Sexual Assault; Sexual Interference; Invitation to Sexual Touching x2; Breach of Recognizance x3 and Mischief to Property Under $5,000.
Andrew Finley, age 47 of Wellington Avenue East in Oshawa, is charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. Both of the accused were held for a bail hearing.
