Durham police investigate regarding the sudden death incident of Oshawa resident Raymond Darby

Homicide investigators are appealing to the public for information surrounding the sudden death of Raymond Darby, a 72-year-old resident of Oshawa found deceased in his Maine Street residence on June 18, 2013. 

Mr. Darby lived alone and was a long time resident of Oshawa and a retired employee of General Motors. He is predeceased by his immediate family members. Mr. Darby had a number of health issues and was a vulnerable person in his community. He was well-liked by his neighbors. 

The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for the public’s assistance for information to further this investigation. Investigators have determined the victim was violently attacked in his home and sustained multiple injuries.
