On Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 5:23 a.m., police were called to33 King Street for a stabbing.
Once on scene, police found a woman with obvious stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She has been identified as Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto.
A man was arrested at the scene.
Areef Khan, 34, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Second-Degree murder
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Monday, October 14, 2013, at 10 a.m.
